C21000 is a high-purity, phosphorus-deoxidized copper alloy, commonly known as oxygen-free copper (OFC). The process of manufacturing C21000 copper tubes involves several key steps. Here is a general overview of the process:
Heating and Extrusion: The copper billets are heated to a suitable temperature to make them malleable. Once heated, the billets are fed into an extrusion press. The extrusion press applies pressure to force the heated copper billet through a specially designed die. As the billet passes through the die, it takes on the shape of the die opening, resulting in a continuous length of copper tube with the desired dimensions and specifications, including the diameter and wall thickness.
Cleaning and Surface Treatment: The copper tubes may undergo a cleaning process to remove any residual lubricants, oils, or contaminants from the manufacturing process. This is typically done through a combination of mechanical cleaning, chemical cleaning, and rinsing. Surface treatment may also be applied to enhance corrosion resistance or improve aesthetics, if required.
