In general, the production process for Gr5 titanium plates involves the following steps:

Raw material selection: High-quality titanium sponge or scrap is selected as the raw material for Gr5 titanium plates.

Melting: The raw material is melted in an electric arc furnace or vacuum arc furnace. During this process, any impurities are removed to ensure the purity of the final product.

Casting: The molten titanium is cast into large slabs or ingots. These slabs can be up to several meters in length and weigh several tons.

Hot rolling: The slabs are heated and then passed through a series of rolling mills to reduce their thickness. The rolling process can be repeated several times to achieve the desired thickness.

Annealing: The titanium plates are annealed to relieve any stresses that may have developed during the rolling process. This also helps to improve the mechanical properties of the material.

Cold rolling: The annealed plates are then passed through a series of cold rolling mills to further reduce their thickness.

Finishing: The titanium plates are then finished to the required dimensions and surface finish.
