Grade 4 titanium is the strongest of the commercially pure titanium alloys, Grades 1 through 4. Although not as strong as Grade 5 titanium, Grade 4 is more corrosion resistant, so it stands up to hydrochloric and sulfuric acids, sodium-hydroxide and ammonia alkalies, and chlorides.
