About three commonly used copper ore beneficiation methods
There are many types of copper ores. The main ones mined in my country are chalcopyrite, followed by chalcocite and bornite. In addition, there are natural copper, turquoise, azurite, malachite and so on. So far, more than 280 kinds of copper-containing minerals have been discovered. my country's copper mines are mainly concentrated in Tongling, Anhui, Zhongtiaoshan, Shanxi, Dongchuan, Yunnan, Duobaoshan, Heilongjiang, and Dexing, Jiangxi. There are many copper ore beneficiation methods. Today we will introduce three commonly used copper ore beneficiation methods.
1. Copper ore flotation method
Since many copper ores are associated with many other metal substances, copper ore flotation methods are divided into three types. The first is the preferential flotation method: when the ore contains two or more useful minerals and is beneficiated by flotation, the useful minerals are selected one by one into a single concentrate. The second is the mixed flotation method. When the ore contains two or more useful minerals and is beneficiated by flotation, various useful minerals are selected together as mixed concentrates (and then the various useful minerals are processed separation) process.
The third method requires the use of flotation equipment. Due to the strong stirring force of the copper ore flotation machine, the ore particles with relatively large particle size and density can be suspended, and at the same time promote the dispersion of refractory chemicals. When the copper ore enters the machine, after layers of processing, it will float to the surface of the slurry to form a mineralized bubble layer. Other mineral particles that are easily wetted by water, generally called hydrophilic mineral particles, do not adhere to the bubbles. , while remaining in the slurry, the mineralized bubbles containing specific minerals are discharged, thereby achieving the purpose of mineral processing.
2. Copper ore magnetic separation method
Different copper ores should use different magnetic separation methods. Generally speaking, if the impurities in the copper ore are mainly magnetic, then a copper ore tailings magnetic separator should be used for copper ore magnetic separation; if the impurities are mainly strong magnetic, a permanent magnet drum magnetic separator should be used. machine to operate. The more times of magnetic separation, the finer the copper ore particle size, and the better the effect of removing impurities.
After the magnetic drum rotates, the copper ore is evenly fed to the magnetic field area through the electromagnetic vibration feeder. As the magnetic drum rotates, the magnetic material is adsorbed on the surface of the drum. The magnetic material is brought to the magnetic zone with the magnetic roller and is unloaded. The non-magnetic and magnetic particles are thrown away from each other in different trajectories due to the different magnetic forces they receive. Through such a work process, impurities are removed and copper ore is selected.
3. Mechanical copper ore separation method
This method uses the collision and friction of the crusher to remove impurities in the copper ore. Since the efficiency of this mechanical separation method is very low, this method is rarely used at present. We usually choose flotation or magnetic separation.
