ASTM B466 This specification covers the requirements for seamless UNS C70400, C70600, C71000, C71500, C71520, and C72200 copper-nickel pipes and tubes in straight lengths suitable for engineering applications. UNS C70620 and C71520 copper alloys are intended for products that are to be welded subsequently.
What is C70600 Pipes?
C70600 (C706),CuNi10Fe1Mn, Copper nickel offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine salt water environments. The main, wrought copper-nickel alloys chosen for sea water service contain 10 percent nickel. They also have important additions of iron and manganese which are necessary to maintain good corrosion resistance. Some of the primary uses for C706 include copper nickel fittings (CuNi Fittings) as well as condensers and exchanger shells.
C70600 copper-nickel is a copper-nickel alloy formulated for primary forming into wrought products. CW352H is the EN numeric designation for this material. C70600 is the UNS number. Additionally, the EN chemical designation is CuNi10Fe1Mn. The British Standard (BS) designation is CN102. And the common industry name is Cupronickel 10.
