C12200 copper, also known as high-phosphorus deoxidized copper, primarily consists of copper with a small amount of phosphorus added for deoxidation. This alloy not only retains the high electrical and thermal conductivity of copper but also significantly improves its processing performance and corrosion resistance through the addition of phosphorus. Specifically, C12200 copper has the following notable characteristics:
Good Welding and Cold Bending Performance: C12200 copper exhibits excellent performance during welding and cold bending, with minimal risk of cracking or deformation, giving it a clear advantage in manufacturing complex-shaped components.
No Tendency for "Hydrogen Embrittlement": Compared to other copper alloys, C12200 copper is less prone to hydrogen embrittlement during processing and use, thereby enhancing the reliability and lifespan of the material.
Good Processing Adaptability: This alloy performs excellently in reducing atmospheres, but should be avoided in oxidizing atmospheres to prevent adverse effects on material properties.
Moderate Electrical and Thermal Conductivity: Although the electrical and thermal conductivity of C12200 copper is slightly lower than that of some low-phosphorus copper alloys, its overall performance remains outstanding, meeting the needs of most industrial applications.
