C172 BeCu alloy is a precipitation-strengthened copper alloy that contains approximately 1.8% to 2% beryllium. It exhibits excellent properties such as high strength, high elasticity, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, stress relaxation resistance, and fatigue resistance. This alloy is widely used in fields such as electronics, aerospace, and mechanical manufacturing.
The hardness and strength of C1720 alloy are very high in the market, making it an ideal choice for many high-performance applications. Additionally, the alloy has good electrical and thermal conductivity, although its conductivity in the annealed state is about 45% to 60% of that of annealed pure copper.
In terms of physical properties, the density of C172 BeCu alloy is 8.4 g/cm³, with a melting point of approximately 900°C, a thermal expansion coefficient of 17x10^-6/°C, and a thermal conductivity of 0.27 cal/cm • s • °C or 1.13 W/cm · °C. These characteristics make it very suitable for applications requiring high strength and good electrical conductivity, such as springs and electrical contacts.
