Copper for EDM: also known as electrolytic copper
Around 1940, the former Soviet Academy of Sciences switched from anti-electrocorrosion methods to using electrocorrosion phenomena to process metal materials in size because of the phenomenon of sparks burning the surface when the plug was opened and closed. In 1943, the first EDM machine was developed, which could process 60HRC steel.
