Copper pipes are safe and reliable
Copper pipes combine the advantages of metal pipes and non-metallic pipes. They are harder than plastic pipes and have the high strength of general metals (the strength of cold-drawn copper pipes is equivalent to that of steel pipes with the same wall thickness); they are easier to bend than general metals, have good toughness and high ductility, and have excellent vibration resistance, impact resistance and frost heave resistance.
Copper pipes can withstand extremely cold and hot temperatures, with a wide range of applications from -196 degrees to 250 degrees, and can adapt to drastic temperature changes (-high temperature-low temperature-high temperature-). The performance will not decrease due to long-term use and drastic temperature changes, and will not produce aging. This is beyond the reach of ordinary pipes.
The linear expansion coefficient of copper pipes is very small, which is 1/10 of that of plastic pipes, and it is fatigue-resistant. When the temperature changes, there will be no excessive thermal expansion and contraction, which will cause stress fatigue cracking.
These characteristics make copper pipes very advantageous in cold areas. In severe cold areas, the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, and the linear expansion coefficient of ordinary pipes is large and the strength is low, which is very easy to produce stress fatigue cracking caused by thermal expansion and contraction. Some claim to be non-brittle at -20 degrees, but in fact they cannot withstand working pressure and have a very short service life, which is of no practical significance. Although insulation measures can be adopted, it is inevitable to encounter low temperatures during transportation, storage and installation, while the performance of copper pipes is the same at -183 degrees and room temperature.
Copper pipe hygiene and health
Copper pipes do not have various modifiers, additives, and other chemical components of plastic pipes.
Biological studies have shown that E. coli in the water supply can no longer continue to reproduce in copper pipes; more than 99% of bacteria in the water are completely killed after entering the copper pipes for 5 hours.
The copper pipe has an extremely dense structure and is impermeable. No matter whether it is grease, bacteria, viruses, oxygen, ultraviolet rays and other harmful substances, they cannot pass through it and pollute the water quality.
In addition, copper pipes do not contain chemical additives and will not burn to release toxic gases that suffocate people. The recycling of copper is conducive to environmental protection and is a green building material for sustainable development.
Copper pipes have strong connection strength
There are many kinds of pipes on the market, but most of the interface fittings are made of copper. Even if some pipe parts do not use copper fittings, there must be a copper fitting at the interface with the faucet. However, if copper pipe fittings are connected to other pipes, the physical and mechanical properties of the pipes and fittings are very different when they are heated and contracted, so the firmness of the connection will naturally be subject to additional challenges. Therefore, the firmness of the copper pipe connected with the copper fittings will be greatly enhanced.
