What is H68 brass?
H68 brass hexagon bar is an industrial profile primarily composed of copper-zinc alloy, with a controlled copper content between 67.0% and 70.0%. It combines comprehensive mechanical properties of high strength and excellent plasticity. The material features outstanding electrical conductivity, superior machinability, and good weldability. It exhibits stable processing characteristics within the hot working temperature range of 750–830°C and the annealing temperature range of 520–650°C. As an industrial foundational material, it is widely used in heat exchangers, condenser tube structural components, and shipbuilding.
Material Characteristics
Main composition includes 67.0%–70.0% copper, with zinc as the base remainder element, meeting precision machining requirements.
The hardness range covers half-hard state standards; material properties can be adjusted through heat treatment processes.
Mechanical properties achieve tensile strength above 370 MPa and an elongation rate not less than 18%.
Machining Performance
Hot pressure working temperature range is 750–830°C, meeting forming needs such as rolling and forging.
Recommended annealing process temperature is 520–650°C; stress relief annealing temperature is 260–270°C.
Machinability evaluation value exceeds 85%, suitable for precision machining.
Welded joint strength coefficient can reach over 90% of the base metal.

Brass product packaging
We implement a graded and customized packaging system: copper plates are double-wrapped with moisture-proof paper and vapor corrosion inhibitor film before being placed in reinforced wooden crates, which are filled with cushioning materials and equipped with impact-resistant corner protectors; copper tubes and rods are sealed with plastic end caps, wrapped with PE protective film, and then layered into steel-frame logistics containers, with EPE pearl cotton separating each layer; copper wires are automatically wound onto spools, vacuum-sealed, covered with waterproof film, and secured on customized iron-wood pallets; copper strips are wrapped with non-woven fabric, coiled onto high-strength steel cores, and placed into waterproof composite material coils with desiccants inside. All packaging passes ISTA-3A transport testing, and the outer boxes are labeled with international hazardous material identifiers, moisture warnings, and scannable logistics codes, ensuring the cargo withstands moisture, impact, and chemical erosion during global transportation.
