UNS C10300 copper have high electrical and thermal conductivity as well as high resistance to corrosion. The UNS numbers C10100 to C13000 are used to denote commercially pure copper. The behavior of different grades of unalloyed copper varies with the amount of impurities present in it. Oxygen-free coppers are used for applications that require high conductivity and exceptional ductility.

Welding
Following are the recommended welding methods for UNS C10300 copper:
Soldering – excellent
Brazing – excellent
Oxyacetylene welding – fair
Gas shielded arc welding – excellent
Coated metal arc welding – recommended
Spot welding - not recommended
Seam welding - not recommended
Butt welding - good
Forging
UNS C10300 copper is forged at hot working temperature between 760 to 871°C (1400 to 1600°F). The hot forgeability rate of this metal is 65%.
Hot Working
UNS C10300 copper has excellent hot working property.
Cold Working
UNS C10300 copper has good cold working property.
Annealing
Annealing of UNS C10300 copper is performed at temperature between 371 and 649°C (700 and 1200°F).
