Application and advantages of brass tubes in engineering machinery
Brass tubes are used to make heating coils for condensers and coolers and tubes for general use. Brass tubes are made of the following brass grades (according to POGT 1019-47): 68 and 70 brass for condensers, and 62 brass for general use cold-drawn tubes with an outer diameter from 3 to 100 cm. The tube length is 1-6 meters.
Tubes for condensers-coolers and other heat exchange equipment should be subjected to a hydraulic pressure test of 50 kg/cm2 for a test time of not less than 10 seconds.
This type of heat exchanger, which has been used recently, has the following advantages compared to shell and tube heat exchangers:
1. High heat transfer coefficient, which is due to high flow velocity, turbulence and complete countercurrent;
2. The equipment weight required for unit heat transfer is small;
3. Good compensation for temperature deformation;
