Selection of copper busbar cross-sectional area, determination of copper busbar cross-sectional area

Simply remember the current carrying capacity of any rectangular busbar:
Rectangular busbar current carrying capacity:
Copper busbar current carrying capacity at 40℃ = busbar width * thickness coefficient
Busbar width (mm); thickness coefficient: 20.5 for busbar 12 thick; 18.5 for busbar 10 thick; in order:
[12-20.5, 10-18.5, 8-16.5, 6-14.5, 5-13.5, 4-12.5]
[Note]: According to the suggestions of lyq13703983100 and further calculations, add 0.5 to the original thickness coefficients of 20, 18, 16, 14, and 12 respectively, which is closer.
Double-layer copper busbar [40℃] = 1.56-1.58 single-layer copper busbar [40℃] (depending on the cross-section size)
3-layer copper busbar [40℃] = 2 single-layer copper busbar [40℃]
4-layer copper busbar [40℃] = single-layer copper busbar [40℃] * 2.45 (this type of selection is not recommended, it is best to use special-shaped busbar instead)
Copper busbar [40℃] = copper busbar [25℃] * 0.85
Aluminum busbar [40℃] = copper busbar [40℃] / 1.3
For example, the current carrying capacity of TMY100*10 is:
Single-layer: 100*18.5 = 1850 (A) [check the manual for 1860A];
Double-layer: 2 (TMY100*10) current carrying capacity is:
1850*1.58=2923 (A); [2942A in the manual];
Three layers: The current carrying capacity of 3 (TMY100*10) is:
1850*2=3700 (A) [3780A in the manual]
All the above calculations are accurate and close to the manual data.
