Sunstone Metals announced that its Limon gold and silver mine at the Bramaderos copper-gold mine in Ecuador continues to expand and "has the potential to become a large-scale open-pit mine."
The company believes this paves the way for "the development of the entire Bramaderos copper-gold-silver mine."
The Bramaderos copper-gold-silver mine project consists of the Limon, Brama, Alba, Melonal and other deposits, and may also be discovered in other porphyry systems.
Due to its high grade, Sunstone previously believed that Limon has the potential to produce 10 million ounces of gold equivalent, which may significantly improve the company's operating conditions.
In addition to Bramaderos in southern Ecuador, Sunstone Metals also has the El Palmar copper-gold mine in northern Ecuador.
The company hopes to improve efficiency by reducing employees and other related operating costs and using funds more efficiently.
