When forging different grades of titanium alloys, it is also necessary to consider the ingot preparation, heating, forging process, heat treatment process, machining, grinding, ingot number management, ultrasonic flaw detection, sawing, sampling and other requirements. In addition, the performance of the forging process of titanium alloy will also be affected by the alloying elements and impurity elements, so it is necessary to strictly control the chemical composition and impurity content.
The national standard 'Isothermal forging of titanium alloy Process specification' (GB/T 38964-2020) provides the process specification for isothermal forging of titanium alloy, including the general provisions, requirements, process. These standards provide detailed guidance and specifications for titanium alloy forging to ensure the performance and quality of forgings.
