1. Preparation: First, make sure the work area is clean and tidy, and have the necessary tools and materials ready. You will need to weld the two connecting sections of loose pipe, a copper electrode, a gas welding nozzle, and a welding sparker.

2. Cleaning and cutting: Use sandpaper or a brush to clean the interface of the copper pipe to completely remove dirt and oxides. Then use a pipe cutter or saw to make the cut so that the end face of the pipe is smooth and accurate. Make sure both joints of the pipe are cleaned and cut.
