Chen Xuesen said in his speech that since this year, facing the severe and complex international situation, the nonferrous metals industry has benefited from the rapid development of new economic fields such as new energy, electric vehicles, and power energy storage batteries, as well as the implementation of a series of policies to stabilize growth in China. Market demand in the metal industry improved significantly in the second half of the year. From January to October, the cumulative industrial added value of nonferrous enterprises above designated size increased by 6.8% year-on-year, an increase of 1.9 percentage points compared with the same period last year, and 2.7 percentage points higher than the increase in industrial added value of enterprises above designated size nationwide; the output of ten nonferrous metals was 61.58 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.0% on a comparable basis; completed fixed asset investment increased by 14.9% compared with the same period last year, an increase of 2.5 percentage points compared with the first half of the year, and 6.0 percentage points higher than the national industrial investment. From January to September, the total import and export trade totaled 250.7 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 2.3% on a comparable basis; 10,560 enterprises above designated size achieved a total profit of 208.5 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.4% from the same period last year, and the decline was 24.7 percentage points narrower than the first half of the year. , narrowed by 35 percentage points from the first quarter, of which the profit in the third quarter was 86.67 billion yuan, an increase of 28.1% from the second quarter, an increase of 92.5% from the third quarter of last year, and the development trend is good.
